Packages - Special Request

This platform feature may not be available for all users. Please contact your Account Executive if you are not seeing it.

At times, users may need to request an action on a package. ParcelShield will work with the carrier to support package requests.

Package Special Request from List View

Once on the List View, use the View Filter to filter on In-Transit. Users can request an action on a package from the List View. To do so, click on the Package Details icon to show available Request Actions to be taken. Some actions may require additional information. Once all the required information has been populated, users will see a Submit button.

Description

Customer Pickup

Arrange a customer pickup at a carrier access point or location

De-Escalate and Dismiss

Select to dismiss the current escalation (note: this does not affect any future escalation)

Initiate Trace

Initiate a package trace to determine package location

Re-Attempt Today

Request carrier to re-attempt delivery to package recipient today

Redirect Package

Request a package be redirected to different location

Stop Monitoring

Request to stop monitor services on a package which may include the below reason:

  • Package Delivered

  • Package Lost

  • Package Returned

  • No Further Action Needed

Remove Signature Requirement

Request to remove signature requirements on a package so carrier can deliver without obtaining signature

Request Future Delivery

Request for carrier to delivery package at a future date

Rescue

Request to start courier engagement on a package that is not expected to deliver on the original scheduled delivery date

Return to Sender

Request to have package returned to the sender/shipper

Package Request from Detailed Package View

Users can make a Special Request the Detailed Package View as well. To do so, click on the Special Request button to show available actions. Some actions may require additional information.
