The ParcelShield platform can be configured to provide services on behalf of customer based on rules of engagement. The rules of engagement are a guideline for how ParcelShield should support packages to ensure delivery on the original committed date from the carrier or through courier engagement.
ParcelShield may leverage the below criteria and data points to support package delivery.
Ambient or Refrigerated
Carrier and service level used for shipping
Day of week delivery
Package signature required
Package value
Packout hours or type
At times, ParcelShield may engage a courier within the Enhanced Delivery Network if the carrier is not able to delivery the package on the original committed date.
