ParcelShield can send communications to package recipients or interested parties when communications are enabled. The contents of each message is designed to inform your customers and give them the ability to receive more information by linking users to access a website customized with your information while being hosted by ParcelShield.
Communications can be configured to go out via email or SMS/text message. Supported package communications include Shipped, Out for Delivery, Delivered, and Delayed. SMS/text messages are sent between 8AM and 9PM (based on time zone which is determined using destination zip code).

When package recipients click on link embedded link of any ParcelShield communication, they are taken to the customized package transit web viewer. This site provides the most recent information available for the package as well as other information including shipping history.
