Packages - Manage Package Escalation

This platform feature may not be available for all users. Please contact your Account Executive if you are not seeing it.

Packages may show as "escalation" in the platform. These packages require a user to take an action on the package to support being delivered on time. User can review and take action on packages from the Package List or from Package Details.

Real Time Dashboard - Packages At Risk

User will see packages at risk on the real time dashboard. User can click on the Total number to navigate to a Package List View as well as further details.

Package Actions from List View

Once on the List View, use the View Filter to filter on Escalated. This will narrow down the packages that require action from the user. Users can take an action on a package from the List View. To do so, click on the Package Details icon to show available actions to be taken. Some actions may require additional information.

Description

De-Escalate and Dismiss

Select to dismiss the current escalation (note: this does not affect any future escalation)

Rescue

Select to request a courier to be involved in delivery of the package

Reattempt Delivery Today

Select a reattempt to delivery same day

Redirect Package

Allows user to update the delivery address only (no change to carrier/service level)

Remove From Protection

Select to remove the package from ParcelShield protection services. Once selection is made, additional information will need to populated including the reason for removing from protection.

  • Package was Delivered

  • Package is Lost

  • Package was Returned

  • No Further Action Needed

Request Future Delivery

Allows user to reschedule package for a future delivery date

Return to Sender (Shipper)

Select to indicate the package is being returned to sender (shipper)

Allow Another Day to Pickup

Allows user to coordinate pickup of a package 1 day later

Package Actions from Detailed Package View

Users can take an action from the Detailed Package View as well. To do so, click on the Manage button to show available actions. Some actions may require additional information.
